April schedule:
①8th -- "Hana-Matsuri" is a Buddhist ritual celebrating the birth of Buddha.
The ritual starts at 1:00p.m. at the main hall.
We pour sweet tea into the BabyBuddha statue at birth and celebrate Buddha's birth.
②18th – the Kannon Goma rite
The rite starts at 1:00p.m. in the Rokkakudo hall.
Goma is a Ritual that priests burn small pieces of wooden board, on which your wishes are written, in order to pray our deities for the fulfillment of them.
③21th -- "Osuna-fumi"
The ritual starts at 1:00p.m. at the main hall.
"Suna" means "sand" and "fumi" means "step on".
It has been though to earn the same merit as visiting Shikoku Pilgrimage 88 places by worship while stepping on the sand of each sacred place.
④28th – the Fudō Myōō Goma rite
The Goma rite starts at 1:00 p.m. in the main hall.
Everyone is welcome to join the rite.
We are holding a "Osuna-fumi Week" from after "Osuna-fumi" on the 21st to the 28th, so you can experience "Osuna-fumi" any time you like during reception hours.
If you are unable to visit the shrine on the 21st or would like to visit again, please come during Sand Stepping Week.
