本堂において、大黒天に皆様のお願いごとを祈願いたします。

【本日の豆知識 ~大黒天~】
弘法大師が大国主神を「大黒」の文字に改めたもいう説もありますが、異論もあるようですので真実は定かではありません。
ただ、2柱の神様が習合されたことで日本独自の大黒天信仰が生まれたのは確かですね。

There is a theory that Kobo Daishi changed the name of Okuninushi to "Daikoku," but the truth of this is uncertain.
However, it is certain that the syncretization of the two gods gave birth to the uniquely Japanese belief in Daikokuten.
