18日13時から観音護摩供法要を開催します。
六角堂において護摩を焚き、皆様のお願いごとを祈願いたします。

【本日の豆知識 ~如意輪観音~】
観音菩薩の翻訳名は2種類あります。
1つは玄奘三蔵以前の訳語で「観世音(かんぜおん)菩薩」です。
法華経に使われている名前で、この時代の訳は旧約と言われます。
読み方は「きゅうやく」ではなく「くやく」です。


We start the fire ritual, Kannon "Goma" at 1:00pm on the 18th.
Priests burn the "Soegomagi" (tha small pieces of wooden boards written wishes on then) and pray to Kannon for your fulfillments at Rokkakudo-hall.
Anyone can join for free, so please come to our temple.

[Today's bits of knowledge about Nyoirin-Kannon]
There are two different translations of the name Kannon Bodhisattva.
One is the translation used before Tripitaka Master Xuanzang, called "Avalokitesvara (Kanzeon) Bodhisattva."
This is the name used in the Lotus Sutra, and the translation from this period is said to be the Old Testament.
It is pronounced "kuyaku" rather than "kyuyaku."
