18日は観音護摩供法要

18日13時から観音護摩供法要を開催します。
六角堂において護摩を焚き、皆様のお願いごとを祈願いたします。
お願い事は法要前に添護摩木(一体300円)にお書きください。
僧侶が護摩に投じ、祈念いたします。
どなた様でも無料でご参拝いただけます。

【本日の豆知識 ~如意輪観音~】
「菩提薩埵(ぼだいさった)」を略して「菩薩」と呼んでいます。
菩提は「悟り」、薩埵は「衆生」という意味ですので、菩提薩埵は「悟りを求める衆生」となります。

Priests burn Soegomagi (small pieces of wooden board, on which your wishes are written) to pray Nyoirin-Kannon for the fulfillment of your wishes.

"Bodhisattva" is an abbreviation of "Bosatu."
Bodhi means "enlightenment" and Sattva means "living things," so Bodhisattva means "living things who seek enlightenment."
