7月18日は観音護摩供法要、29日は多世代交流イベント

18日13時から観音護摩供法要を開催します。
六角堂において護摩を焚き、皆様のお願いごとを祈願いたします。
どなた様でも無料でご参拝いただけますので、是非お越しください。

【本日の豆知識 ~如意輪観音~】
「蓮華」は仏教の伝来とともに伝わった言葉です。
１つの花を指す言葉ではなく、ハスやスイレンのことを言います。
素人目では似た花ですが、咲き方など色々違うようです。


なお、今月29日(土)に昔の遊びを通して多世代交流を図るイベントが行われます。
メンコや紙飛行機を作ったり、お手玉やあやとりをして遊びませんか？
カレーやかき氷等の提供もあります。
興味がありましたら旭川市社会福祉協議会へ18日(火)までにお申し込みください。

We start the fire ritual, Kannon "Goma" at 1:00pm on the 18th.
Priests burn the "Soegomagi" (tha small pieces of wooden boards written wishes on then) and pray to Kannon for your fulfillments at Rokkakudo-hall.
Anyone can join for free, so please come to our temple.

[Today's bits of knowledge about Nyoirin-Kannon]
"Renge" is a word that came along with the introduction of Buddhism.
It does not refer to a single flower, but to a lotus or water lily.
To the untrained eye, the flowers look similar, but the way they bloom seems to be different.
