日吉神社

神奈川県 香川駅

香川から茅ヶ崎へのウォーキング途中、通りすがりです。

暁の祭りと呼ばれる奇祭”浜降祭”に参加している神社の一社です。

茅ヶ崎市西久保の鎮守様になります。

この地域の境内の造りが似ているからでしょうか。

この神社の御由緒が無いので決め付けは出来ませんが、平忠常の乱の平定に源頼義が来た事が
社を祀る一因であったのが分かります。

つまりは平安時代にはこの地に人々が暮らして
いた史実になります。

都から遠く離れた東国の地であっても京都との往来が多かったのではないかと考えてしまいます。

そして各地に村意識が強くなり、鎮守様に鎮座してもらったのでしょうか。

当時に思いを巡らずにはいられないですね。
