《拝殿》🙏
👁チェックポイント‼️
『出雲国風土記』にて「須我の小川の湯淵の村の川中に温泉あり」と記載があり、これが「海潮温泉」とされています。古くからの温泉地であったことから江戸時代には松江藩主が訪れた記録もあります。
当社はこの温泉地として栄えた湯渕村の守護神として祀られていることが現在も示唆されており、奥出雲の亀嵩温泉も含め島根県はけっこうな温泉地が昔からあったことが窺えます。

県道24号線沿いに入り口がありますが、神社があることを知っていないとまず見落としますね。
