懐嶋権守平景能の「懐嶋館趾」や像がある「神明大神宮」

茅ヶ崎駅からまっすぐ伸びる茅ヶ崎中央通りから東側の住宅街に入ったところ。迷いやすいが看板がちらほら。駅から遠い。
神社反対側に駐車場あり。

石玉垣で囲われて石鳥居。石柱あり。
鳥居潜って右手に御手水、自治会館。左手に「懐嶋郷発祥の地」と書かれた石板？由緒の石板とあるが由緒は読めない。正面拝殿。自治会館ではわちゃわちゃしていた。

拝殿左側から神社の裏に行け「懐嶋館趾碑」「平景能・大庭景兼顕彰碑」「平景能の像」とある。場所自体は狭い。

平景能は懐嶋の地を治めていた。大庭景義は別名。
保元の乱で負傷し当主を弟・大庭景親に譲り隠棲していたが、景親と頼朝が敵対した際は頼朝につき、鎌倉幕府でも仕えている。

厄一王子社のあと床屋に行ったので、その帰りに寄り道をして参拝させて頂きました。

こちらは茅ヶ崎の浜之郷にある鶴嶺八幡宮の兼務社となります。

いつの時代も栄枯盛衰がありますが、懐嶋権現社の他に山王権現社もこの神社に合祀されています。

神社の隣には自治会館もあり、詣でたのが早朝だったのですが、既に2,3組の人が来てました。

狛犬と言えば少し厳ついイメージを持っていましたが、この神社のそれは少し緩めのキャラクターな感じがしました。

元々は、実力者の家の鬼門除として建立されたようですが、現代に至っても栄えて、この地域の人たちに守られているようです。

There is a self-governing hall next to the shrine, and it was early morning to see the shrine, but a couple of people came.

Speaking of a guardian dog, he had a slightly strict image, but this shrine feeling was a little relaxed character feeling.

Originally, it seems that it was erected for misery by a man of powerful persons, but it prospers even in modern times, it seems to be protected by people in this area.

暁の祭りと呼ばれる奇祭”浜降祭”に参加している神社の一社です。

茅ヶ崎市の円蔵地区の鎮守様になります。

このあたりの言い伝えによれば、この辺りに
懐嶋権現社が平安時代末期、武士の台頭とともに建立されたようです。

その後、源氏によって茅ヶ崎の鶴嶺八幡宮
に遷座、さらに鎌倉幕府によって鎌倉の鶴岡八幡宮に遷座し、現在に至るようです。

この社も関東大震災で倒壊し、その後再建されたようです。

現在では、懐嶋権現社はこちらの末社として合祀されてひっそり鎮座されていました。

It seems that Futokorojima shrine was built along with the rise of samurai in the late Heian period.

After that, by Genji, Tsurumine Hachimangu Shrine of Chigasaki.

It is a transition to the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine in Kamakura by the Kamakura Shogunate, and it seems to have reached the present.

This shrine also collapsed in the Great Kanto Earthquake and it seems that it was rebuilt afterwards.

Today, this was enshrined and secretly enshrined as the end shrine here.
